Kaarin joined the Lottsa staff in September 2020 as a Tax Preparer. After studying accounting at nearby Augsburg University, she is excited to be at a small firm where she can gain diverse experience. Kaarin plans to begin the process of becoming a CPA after the 2021 tax season.
Kaarin graduated from Macalester College in 2015 with majors in Chemistry and Music (she is a violinist). She then attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she got her Master’s in Chemistry and decided to change careers. After volunteering at Holden Village for two years, she returned to the Twin Cities and started her path in accounting, following her mother’s (Jean’s) footsteps.
At home, Kaarin enjoys cooking, baking, and reading about food with her partner Sigurd. She is also an avid knitter who was honored to have her “dream job” at the Yarnery in St. Paul for two years. Kaarin enjoys spending vacation time in Northern Minnesota at her family cabin and in the BWCA.
