Tax & Accounting Services

Lottsa provides a broad range of tax preparation, tax planning, accounting, and business consulting services. Personal financial planning services are available from an affiliated company, Lottsa Financial Services, Inc.

The company is wholly owned by Scott Beers, one of its co-founders in 1982. We occupy the 2nd floor of the historic Triangle Building in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. We've been in this community since the company began.

There are 6 staff members who are employed year round. We're bright, down-to-earth, good-hearted, progressive-minded people with a talent for accounting, taxes, and finances. Scott Beers, Jeanne Brose, and Sarah Kise are the professional accountants and they are well supported by Daniel Palahniuk, Lisa Clark, and Nicole Paulsen.

Nancy Lutz joins us as a seasonal tax preparers during our busy season, January-April, at which time we also add a seasonal support person. For early 2013 it's Sarah Lauber.

Our greatest strength may be our ability to translate the complex worlds of tax and finance into terms that a lay person can understand. We believe that clients can and should understand their financial situation. Our work becomes fun when the client feels empowered to make informed, prudent choices in the financial domain.

We're big believers in fun. Although we are earnest and diligent about our work, we are not overly serious about it. Taxes and accounting outline our field of endeavor. It's how we connect with you. What it's really about is generating value by helping people to make sound, life-positive choices.

We serve many progressive organizations and individuals from throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Over 700 individuals rely on us for tax preparation and planning. We are pleased to count approximately 100 business entities in our client base of tax and accounting clients. Many of our clients have been with us for more than ten years and more than a few have been with us for twenty or more.

In addition to tax, our accounting services help small businesses and non-profits track their operations and comply with reporting requirements. Whether you need help with QuickBooks, payroll, or system design/set-up, Lottsa may well be the resource you want.
